Overview
The IT SAP Supply Chain Business Analyst role will act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and IT, driving digital transformation across Chanelle’s supply chain operations. Initially this role will focus on working with colleagues on our SAP ERP implementation project. In the longer term, the role will be responsible for analysing, designing, implementing, and supporting SAP solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and data integrity across procurement, inventory, planning, and logistics functions. Therefore, an understanding of and experience of working with/in this environment is key to driving credibility and a strong partnership with stakeholders. Additionally, the ability and desire to learn new concepts, processes, tools, systems are essential. Equally important is to bring a growth mindset and curiosity to all aspects.
Location: This role will be based in our Loughrea office and is eligible for our hybrid working policy (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Supply Chain & ERP Transformation
* Collaborate with supply chain teams to gather and prioritize business requirements.
* Analyze current supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement using SAP S/4HANA.
* Play a key role in ERP-related strategic projects where there is a supply chain crossover.
* Collaborate with implementation partners to design and implement optimum supply chain processes tailored to Chanelle Pharma’s operational and regulatory needs.
* Design and configure SAP modules (MM, PP, SD, etc) to support business needs.
* Project management of small to medium initiatives
* Investigate and resolve escalated issues/ tickets and document solutions, answers for our IT knowledge base.
* Identify issues, investigate and assess options providing recommendations for resolution (in order to drive improvements to existing processes, policies)
* In conjunction with project managers and vendors, define project requirements, milestones, phases, scope, resourcing needs and compile project documents
Data Cleansing, Migration & Governance
* Drive data cleansing initiatives to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of supply chain master data prior to migration.
* Define, with the business, data governance standards across supply chain systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.
* Collaborate with business and IT teams to map legacy data to SAP structures and validate transformation logic.
* Support data migration activities including extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and reconciliation.
* Develop and execute test plans for migrated data to ensure integrity and usability in SAP.
* Monitor and maintain data quality post-migration through audits and continuous improvement processes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
* Develop functional specifications for SAP enhancements, interfaces, and reports.
* Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams during implementation and testing phases.
* Provide training and documentation to end-users and ensure smooth adoption.
* Forging strong relationships with the supply chain and wider functions
* Deliver training and support to end-users to ensure successful solution adoption.
* Be an advocate for data governance processes
* Act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain, IT, or related field.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supply chain function, preferably within pharma or life sciences.
* Proven experience with SAP ERP systems, especially S/4HANA (or other Tier 1 ERP systems).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Experience with S&OP or supply chain planning systems is a plus.
* Familiarity with GxP, computer systems validation processes, and regulatory compliance requirements

* Native or excellent English (spoken and written)
