Post 1896 - Registered Nurse (Cork) Cork Post 1896 Registered Nurse Nursing Department Part Time (75 hours/every 4 weeks) Permanent Cork Centre The IBTS is currently recruiting a part-time, permanent /temporary Registered Nurse based in the Nursing Department, Cork Centre.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) operates nurse-led collection clinics, managed by a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM).
The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) on the Hybrid clinic team is to work with the CNM to support the IBTS strategic priorities with regard to achieving operational excellence, improving customer (donor) experience and supporting better healthcare, ensuring compliance with current legislative requirements.
When required, the RN will act as CNM to lead the team.
The RN is at all times expected to practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Code of Practice and Scope of Practice and within the IBTS Quality System and Code of Conduct.
Essential Criteria: To be registered with NMBI (live register) in any division Have at least 2 years post registration experience, relevant to the role of the Registered Nurse in the IBTS Demonstrate experience in managing people Evidence of recent continuous professional development (CPD) Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and accuracy Proven IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook) and experience of working with electronic Patient Management / Learning Management systems Desirable Criteria: Full Driving License The salary scale attached to the post is the Enhanced Nurse scale €44,311 to €57,273 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum.
Entry point onto the salary scale is dependent upon relevant experience.

Citizen Requirements Eligible candidates must be:
a) A citizen of the European Economic Area (EEA) EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway
b) A citizen of United Kingdom (UK)
c) A citizen of Switzerland in regards to the agreement between the EU and Switzerland on the movement of people
d) A non-EEA citizen who has a stamp 4 visa
e) A person awarded international protection under the International Protection Act 2015, or any family member entitled to remain in the State as a result of family reunification and has a stamp 4 visa or
f) A non-EEA citizen who is a parent of a dependant child who is a citizen of and resident in an EEA member state if the UK or Switzerland and has a stamp 4 visa.
To qualify candidates must meet one of the citizenship criteria above and produce formal supporting evidence of same, by the date of any job offer.
