We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our award-winning team in Galway. The Business Development Manager is a newly established role created to drive the growth of new business by supporting and enabling the teams responsible for client engagement. The position brings together market intelligence, client targeting and opportunity management. As an operational and enabling role, it oversees the full business development lifecycle from early project identification to tender stage ensuring teams are equipped with accurate information, efficient systems and the support they need to engage effectively with clients, manage opportunities and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
The role plays a pivotal role in supporting how JJ Rhatigan identifies, prioritises and secures new business:
* Support JJ Rhatigan with market intelligence by tracking sector trends and industry movements that contribute to strategic decision making.
* Develop and continuously refine the company's target client and target sector strategy.
* Own, maintain and optimise the CRM system and processes ensuring all leads, opportunities and engagements are accurately logged and easily accessible.
* Support teams in the adoption of the CRM process and system providing regular training and upskilling.
* Manage the full opportunity pipeline, from early project identification through to tender stage, ensuring timely updates and progression.
* Generate regular reports and insights to inform leadership decisions and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
* Maintain and refine the target list of clients and priority opportunities.
* Monitor industry activity and proactively identify new opportunities.
* Support teams in developing high quality proposals, presentations and case studies.
Skills Experience Required
* Experience in business development operations and CRM administration.

* Advanced proficiency with CRM and reporting tools
