My client is looking for an Information Security Tech Lead with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join their organisation based in Cork. This is a permanent role.
Responsibilities
* Act as deputy to the Information Security Manager and support day to day operations.
* Mentor and guide team members on technical security topics.
* Serve as the main escalation point for resolving technical security issues.
* Lead security improvements by assessing risks, trends, and new technologies.
* Support IT teams in implementing technical security best practices.
* Implement and maintain security controls across cloud, network, access, and other security areas.
Skills and Experience
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline.
* 8+ years in technical information security roles, plus 2+ years in leadership.
* Strong background in cloud and network security, incident response, and vulnerability management.
* Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
* Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP, GIAC, ISO 27001, or similar.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive working style.
