Intellectual Disability Care Assistant- Night Team Full Time | Permanent | Kildare | "Enabling people with an intellectual disability to have full and meaningful lives through quality person-centred services in partnership with families" Cheeverstown is a voluntary organisation, regulated by the Health Information Quality Authority (HIQA).
We provide a wide range of person-centred services, including residential, respite, and day services to almost 400 adults with an intellectual disability in the south Dublin area.
We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our Night team as Care Assistants to provide care and support through a person-centred approach which promotes the person's development and growth.
Candidates must be highly motivated, creative, and experienced, with a passion for engaging with the people we support on a daily basis.
In order to promote and support community integration for the individuals supported by Cheeverstown.

Driving required and willingness to drive during the night, supporting people across different locations.
Willingness to work in all houses across the service including Community Services and to assist with hospital transfers.
Person specification Essential: A FETAC/QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care/ Healthcare or relevant qualification- all 8 modules completed.
Be knowledgeable of Health Act **** and have experience and understanding HIQA Regulations Values that correspond with Cheeverstown's values.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including good listening skills.
A person-centred approach to the provision of supports, including an understanding of the individual needs and abilities of each person.
Flexibility to work in all areas of Resident Services.
Openness to providing supports across a variety of activities.
Commitment and dedication to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disability and autism.
Good IT and administrative skills.
Desirable: One years' experience working in the area of disability is preferable.
Experience supporting people with autism.
Possess a full clean drivers license and willingness to drive.

Salary will be paid at the Care Assistant grade on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales, depending on qualifications and experience.
