Kerry Community Youth Service is recruiting for a Family Support Co-Ordinator to lead their intensive family support service.

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and their families. The Family Support Co-ordinator will provide strategic leadership and operational management of the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred, trauma-informed and evidence-based services to families experiencing complex challenges.

The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, balancing business continuity with change management through clear communication with stakeholders. They will ensure effective delegation of cases based on staff skillset and project caseload, prioritising referred children and families informed by level of need.
\
The role involves managing and coordinating work programmes across multiple settings, including the KCYS centre and family homes, to meet the varied needs of children and families. The Family Support Co-ordinator will also be responsible for overseeing system data collection, analysis and interpretation, informing regular reporting and guiding future service developments and continuous improvement.

About You:
\
We are seeking an exceptional individual with a relevant degree in youth work, community work, family support, social care, social work, education, or other relevant discipline. The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in a leadership role, with experience in managing a commissioned service.
\
The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience of family support programme management and evaluation, as well as working knowledge of child development, family systems, relevant legislation and policy, assessment procedures and interventions available to children and families.
\
They will have excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships. The ideal candidate will be proficient at project management, report writing and technical skills, with experience using computer applications and online communication platforms.

Benefits:
\
The role offers a salary range €46,496 - €58,922, commensurate with experience, payable monthly. The contract is specified purpose linked to career break, minimum 18 months, subject to funding. The successful candidate will also receive 28 days paid sick leave in a 12 month period pro rata, upon successful completion of probation.
