Objective of the Role
To work with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while adhering to quality standards and legal requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
· Prepare tender documents and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
· Where relevant evaluate Bids.
· Manage contracts, processing payments, and resolving contractual issues.
· Identify and mitigating potential cost risks throughout the project lifecycle.
· Identify opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
· Provide advice to Directors and Contracts Managers on cost-related matters and helping them make informed decisions.
· Ensure projects adhere to relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and other legal requirements.
· Manage forecasts for live site and track budget from beginning to end throughout life span.
· Track project costs, progress, and performance, and reporting on budget and schedule variances.
· Oversee the work delivered by the Junior QS, providing support where necessary
· Carry out regular 121's with the Junior QS
Qualifications:
· RICS or ICES -Accredited Degree (Chartership Organisations)

Additional information
