Role Purpose
We are looking for a Team Leader to join our Pension and Investment team.
The role holder is responsible for the efficient running of day-to-day processing operations within the Pension and Investment Team in the Life Services Department, monitoring, coaching and guiding team members. It is their responsibility to ensure that all tasks are completed within SLA's and to an excellent standard.
The role holder will also support and monitor team members performance towards meeting team and individual objectives.
Accountabilities of the Role
* Monitoring and prioritising work within the Pension and Investment team, ensuring all tasks are completed within the applicable SLA
* Coaching, supporting and guiding team members towards meeting agreed objectives. Working with the Assistant Manager to carry out performance management reviews and objective setting for team members. Managing all leave (annual, sick etc.) for the team
* Developing and enhancing relationships across the business to ensure effective delivery for the team
* Working closely with colleagues in each insurance company to ensure a smooth transition of business and pipeline updates
* Identifying opportunities to make process and system improvements, and ensuring follow through of these ideas to Management
* Encouraging and facilitating open communication within the team, ensuring everyone is working towards collaborative goals
* Complying with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role
* Maintaining commercial awareness relevant to this role
Skills, Experience and Behavioural Competencies Required
* QFA
* 2 to 3 years' experience in a Financial Services organisation, in an environment driven by service levels and deadlines
* Strong knowledge of Pension and Investment products
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Ability to lead and motivate a team

Controlled Function
This role is a 'controlled function' as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank. This requires the company to complete prescribed due diligence to assess the appointee's fitness and probity.
