The Opportunity
Arup is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to support our growing industry leading team in Dublin and Cork. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in geo-environmental consulting or a related field. This role involves leading complex projects, providing expert advice, and contributing to the growth and development of our geo-environmental services.
As a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultantat Arup, you will:
* Lead and manage geo-environmental projects from inception to completion. Conduct site assessments and risk assessmentsDesign and procure geo-environmental site investigations,Manage and supervise ground investigationsPrepare risk assessments (GQRA and DQRA)Advise on soil reuse, and prepare Regulation 27 and Regulation 28 applications.Develop and implement remediation strategies.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff.
* Liaise with clients (internal and external), stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
* Prepare detailed reports e.g. PSA, DQRA and EIAR
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
* Have has experience of successful managing the financial delivery of projects (or geo-environmental elements of projects)
* Have a commercial awareness and have contributed to the business development and client relationship management
* Membership and active participation in relevant professional/industry bodies (e.g. IBN, IAH, EI, IGI, or their equivalents) is an advantage)
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field (Level 9 Master's degree preferred).
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in geo-environmental consulting or a similar role.
* Strong Knowledge of Irish environmental regulations and standards.
* Proven track record in project management and team leadership both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Should be Chartered Environmental Consultant, Chartered Engineer, Professional Geologist or be close to achieving the same
