Overview:
As the Maintenance Technician, you will support the Maintenance Manager to maintain a state-of-the-art automated plant. You will be required to complete corrective and preventative maintenance to uphold the highest standards for core and non-core plant equipment, requiring strong electrical and mechanical skills.
You will also utilize engineering systems to ensure site and regulatory compliance. Appraising site equipment to improve efficiency and assisting production in lean manufacturing will be key to supporting site growth and production output.
The role involves shift work on a rotating basis (7am to 3.30pm and 3pm to 11.30pm), with a shift premium of 20% on top of your basic salary. On-call duties will also be required.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with all HSE, Food Safety, and Quality legal and regulatory requirements, along with company policies, standards, procedures, and forms.
* Lead preventative maintenance to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
* Respond to corrective and emergency breakdowns, maintaining GMP standards.
* Assist in developing TPM and PM processes for all core and non-core equipment.
* Support production with TPM schedules and procedures to maintain high standards.
* Conduct site safety checks to ensure regulatory compliance and safety improvements.
* Monitor and evaluate equipment systems for continuous production improvements, including modifications and upgrades.
* Support the Maintenance Manager and Planner in maintaining site systems like PPM and BMS software.
* Collaborate with cross-functional departments and external contractors on project work with tight deadlines.
* Ensure maintenance activities are completed timely and to standard.
Qualifications:
* Qualification in electrical, mechanical, or automation-related fields.
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Experience in the Food & Beverage industry.
* BMS (Building Management Systems) experience.
* Knowledge of documentation and systems like SAP, PLCs, SCADA, etc.
* Strong problem-solving skills within a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent communication skills.
