We are looking for client focused, friendly and adaptable people to join our team.About the RoleContract Type: Fulltime, PermanentWork Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7-day liability and a mix of early and late shifts.Location: Ushers Island, Dublin 8Salary: 40-45,000 DOEReports to: Client Development ManagerThe Gym Programme Supervisor will be responsible for designing, delivering and supervising fitness programmes that support clients engaging in therapeutic and clinical services. The role leads on programme creation, class delivery, client progress monitoring and safety, while also providing coordination and guidance to a Health & Wellbeing Project Worker. The successful candidate will work as part of the Client Development team. This team are an integral part of Dublin Simon Community and work with our clients around training, education, personal development, employability, health and wellbeing.Job ResponsibilitiesThe job's core responsibilities will include the following:Programme Design & Development· Develop fitness and wellbeing programmes that support therapeutic and clinical goals.· Create group classes and individual exercise plans tailored to client needs.· Oversee the Health & Wellbeing Programme and ensure all content is evidence‑based and aligned with service objectives.Review and adapt programmes to enhance engagement and outcomes.Class Delivery & Facilitation· Deliver safe, engaging classes that accommodate diverse physical and therapeutic needs.· Adapt sessions based on ability, risk, and clinical guidance.· Monitor client wellbeing and maintain accurate attendance and session records.· Promote a positive, trauma‑informed environment.Client Assessment and Monitoring· Complete baseline and ongoing fitness assessments.· Develop individual care plans aligned with therapeutic and rehabilitation goals.· Carry out and update risk assessments.· Track progress and share updates with clinical and multidisciplinary teams.· Adjust plans based on clinical guidance and client progression.Clinical & Multidisciplinary Collaboration· Work with clinical, therapeutic, and multidisciplinary teams to support client treatment goals.· Integrate therapeutic principles into fitness programmes.Health, Safety, & Risk Management· Conduct risk assessments for activities and equipment.· Ensure safe equipment use and respond appropriately to incidents.· Maintain compliance with health and safety standards.Facility & Equipment Management· Manage daily gym operations.· Ensure facilities are clean, safe and well equipped.· Liaise with facilities and suppliers for repairs and replacements.Staff Supervision & Support· Provide clear guidance, task allocation and day‑to‑day support to the Health & Wellbeing Project Worker.· Support learning, development and training to strengthen programme delivery and service quality.· Contribute to supervision meetings, performance discussions, and ongoing support.· Coordinate and support volunteer contributors (e.g., physiotherapists, yoga instructors).· Assist the Client Development Manager with project work as required.Coordination of Wellbeing Activities· Coordinate gym timetables, group activities, events, and organisational wellbeing initiatives.· Ensure effective communication and scheduling.Quality Assurance & Reporting· Maintain programme standards aligned with organisational and clinical expectations.· Collect outcome data and contribute to evaluation and service improvement.· Maintain accurate records, reports and databases.Promotion & Engagement· Promote health and wellbeing programmes to clients, staff, and external partners· collaborate with fundraising on events and promotional activities· Encourage inclusive participation to reduce isolation and increase client confidenceClient Engagement & Motivation· Build supportive professional relationships with clients.· Encourage engagement and track outcomes to demonstrate programme impact.· Support client participation through positive and motivational communication.Teamwork & Collaboration· Contribute to team meetings, planning sessions and multi‑disciplinary work.· Share information appropriately and support coordinated care.· Undertake additional duties as required.Administration· Manage schedules, bookings and administrative processes.· Handle referrals, sign‑ups, data entry and internal communications.· Manage petty cash in line with organisational procedures.Partnerships & Community Integration· Build relationships with statutory and voluntary wellbeing providers.· Use a Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) to support client engagement and community integration.· Coordinate the QQI Health & Fitness course with CDETB.Continuous Professional Development· Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge in fitness, wellbeing and trauma‑informed practice.· Participate in ongoing training, supervision and reflective practice.· Support alignment with Healthy Ireland outcomes.QualificationsEssential· 3rd‑level qualification in Sports Science, Personal Training, Physical Activity or a related field.· REPs Ireland registration.· Minimum 1 year's experience delivering fitness programmes and supervising a gym environment.· Experience in one or more of the following: group facilitation, event/workshop delivery, sports/fitness/nutrition, or health promotion.· Strong communication, organisational and risk‑management skills.· Commitment to trauma‑informed practice, client wellbeing and professional development.· Ability to assess clients, contribute to care plans and manage challenging behaviour safely.· Knowledge of Dublin Simon Community Addiction Treatment and Recovery Services as this is the clients you will be working with.Desirable· Qualification in social care, community development, addiction studies, social policy or a related field.· Experience working with disadvantaged groups, clients with complex needs, or within the homelessness sector.· Strong experience facilitating group dynamics and working directly with clients in structured, supportive or therapeutic environments.· Knowledge of the Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA), organisational services and accommodation pathways.· Certification and experience in delivering boxercise, fitness coaching or other specialised exercise disciplines.· High standard of documentation, record‑keeping, and report‑writing skills.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per yearBenefits:Bike to work
