Make a Difference at AbbottWe are seeking a Procurement Specialist for Injection Molding Tooling to manage procurement for capital tooling of plastics and metal stamping, including supplier selection, negotiation, and strategy development to support cost reduction, quality, and risk mitigation.
ResponsibilitiesManage relationships with suppliers, acting as the primary interface with internal functions.Oversee supplier pricing and cost structures to optimize budgets.Lead cost reduction initiatives through tendering, negotiation, and opportunity identification.Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and departments to enhance supply chain efficiency.Identify and mitigate risks to supply continuity.Collaborate effectively within teams, especially on Abbott GPS initiatives.Ensure compliance with quality systems, GMP, regulations, and EHS standards.Maintain accurate training records per ETMS/ISO requirements.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and training.Education and ExperienceNFQ Level 8 qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Science.Minimum of 4 years in a similar role.Experience in plastic molding and tooling.Proven procurement experience with cost reduction and change management.Understanding of injection mold build and capital equipment purchasing.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.Knowledge of GMP standards.Proficiency in MS Office and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.What We OfferCompetitive salary, benefits including:
