Patient Care Coordinator
About the Role:
The Point of Care Co-ordinator will oversee and develop the Point of Care Testing (POCT) service, maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS). This role involves day-to-day operation and management of the POCT Department, including quality activities relevant to ISO 15189 Laboratory accreditation and Joint Commission International (JCI) Hospital wide accreditation.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years medical laboratory experience and be registered as a Medical Scientist with CORU.
Responsibilities:
* Quality management and compliance with ISO 15189 and JCI standards
* Develop and implement operational procedures up to best practice standard
* Manage and co-ordinate multiple concurrent testing
* Monitor and procure laboratory stocks in accordance with policy
* Facilitate and participate with medical and scientific staff in evaluating equipment and introduction of new tests
Requirements:
-CORU registration as a Medical Scientist
-ACSCL recognised MSc in relevant field of Biomedical Science or awaiting graduation
