About the Role
As a Staff Automation Controls Engineer, you’ll lead thedesign, development, programming, and validationof advanced automation systems. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams, as well as external vendors, to deliver robust and compliant equipment solutions — from concept through commissioning and validation.
* Lead specification, installation, and validation of automation and control systems.
* Design and programPLC (Rockwell/Siemens), HMI, andSCADAfor new and existing lines.
* Implement advanced automation strategies involvingmotion control, robotics, andvision systems.
* Troubleshoot complex automation challenges and minimize downtime.
* Oversee system integration,IQ/OQ/PQ validation, and ensure regulatory compliance (GMP, FDA, ISO).
* Collaborate with equipment vendors for installations, upgrades, and ongoing support.
Required
* Bachelor’s degree inElectrical, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
* 10+ years of automation and controls experience inregulated manufacturing(e.g., medical devices, pharma, biotech).
* Expertise inPLC programming (Rockwell/Siemens)andHMI development.
* Strong background inservo motion, robotics, and vision systems.
* Proven ability to createUser Requirement Specifications (URS)and execute validation (IQ, OQ, PQ).
* Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
* Willingness to travel up to25%, supporting our German operations.
