With over 40 years of experience, we have established ourselves as the trusted brand partner, and we have the knowledge and resources to cater to all packaging needs.We are now recruiting for a Rewind/Slitting Machine Operator to join our team, to help grow this division of our business, and whose values align with what we do.The role would be based on Monday-Friday hours, with a competitive salary, at the Southern Tapes and Packaging Headquarters on Forge Hill, Co. Cork.This role would involve: Setting up, running, and monitoring machines that slit/cut large rolls of stretch film into smaller, specific-sized rolls. Packing finished products into boxes, palletising, labelling, and readying for dispatch/storage. Handling packaging and documentation to meet set schedule and production goals. Liaising with the Procurement and Goods-In teams to manage and move materials used within the production to ensure stock efficiency. Ensuring high and consistent quality of product through continuous inspection and spot checking. Performing basic maintenance to the machines. Assisting the Warehousing team with ad hoc duties (e.g., supporting in the loading and unloading of containers, supporting stock-takes). Operating forklifts, reach-trucks, hand-trucks and powered-trucks (if the candidate does not possess a licence for any of these, training will be arranged by the company). Manual Handling certification (if the candidate does not possess this certification, training will be arranged by the company).We are looking for someone who enjoys working with a team in a fast-paced company.
