Site Manager Construction An established and rapidly growing main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its project delivery team.
This is a key, hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will work on a diverse portfolio of projects across Life Sciences, Commercial, Residential, and Fit-Out sectors, within a professional and collaborative environment that values leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Site Management & Delivery Take full responsibility for on-site construction activities from groundworks through to final handover Coordinate daily site operations to ensure smooth execution in line with the construction programme Ensure all works meet required quality, safety, and environmental standards Manage site logistics including labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors Proactively identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays and risks Health, Safety & Compliance Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture on site Ensure compliance with all statutory, company, and project-specific H&S requirements Carry out regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and audits Maintain accurate and up-to-date site documentation, including RAMS, permits, and site diaries Subcontractor & Team Coordination Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour Chair coordination meetings and issue clear instructions to site teams Lead, support, and motivate site personnel to achieve project objectives Programme & Reporting Monitor progress against programme milestones Report site performance, risks, and delays to the Project Manager Maintain accurate site records, progress photographs, quality checks, and daily logs Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in a Site Manager or similar role within the construction industry Experience delivering Life Sciences, Fit-Out, or high-specification Commercial projects is highly desirable Proven ability to deliver projects on time and to a high standard Strong knowledge of construction methods, health & safety legislation, and industry best practice Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills Relevant construction qualification (trade background, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent) Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and required site certifications Whats on Offer Competitive salary and attractive benefits package Long-term career progression within a growing and progressive contractor Exposure to technically challenging, high-profile projects across multiple sectors Supportive team culture built on respect, collaboration, and professionalism Opportunity to make a real impact and develop your career with a company that invests in its people If you are an experienced Site Manager looking to take the next step in your career within a forward-thinking construction environment, this is an excellent opportunity.
