Senior Business Analyst – Group Digital & Technology Transformation

VGIE is Ireland's national sales company and holds a 25% share of the Irish automotive market.
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who will handle business analysis across a programme of interdependent IT projects, supporting our digital journey.
Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business requirements for new projects and initiatives.
Translate gathered business requirements into IT/technical requirements.
Analyse and prioritise requirements considering business value, feasibility, interdependencies and stakeholder impact.
Use techniques such as business process modelling, use-case analysis and user-story mapping to capture and document requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
Establish and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, IT teams and project sponsors.
Communicate effectively to ensure alignment of project goals.
Provide regular updates and reports on progress, requirement status and issues.
Guide stakeholders on best practices, techniques and tools for requirement elicitation, analysis and management.
Contribute to the development of business analysis standards, methodologies and frameworks within the organization.
Solution Design and Testing
Work closely with solution architects and project teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical designs.
Review and validate proposed solutions against business needs and architectural guidelines.
Collaborate with testing teams to create test plans and test cases, and participate in testing and validation activities.
Ensure all requirements are covered by UAT and that all business requirements can be validated against the IT requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation through analysis of existing business processes and systems.
Requirements Management and Traceability
Establish and maintain a requirements management framework, including tools, templates and processes for documenting, tracking and managing requirements.
Ensure traceability of requirements from inception to implementation and maintain version control and change management for requirement artefacts.
Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor's degree in information technology, business or a related field.
Minimum 5 years as a business analyst with a track record of successfully delivering business requirements for complex projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex business processes, systems and data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with project stakeholders.
Proficiency in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation techniques such as interviews, workshops, use cases and user stories.
Experience with business process modelling tools (e.g. JIRA).
Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
