Role: Kitchen Assistant Location: High Park Dublin 9 Reporting To: Homeless Service Manager Terms: Relief, 14 hours per week over 3 days Salary Range: € 29,****** - € 38,****** ( Please note that offers are typically made at the beginning to mid-range of the advertised salary, based on skills and experience) Job Purpose: The preparation and service of meals at the homeless service.

Core Duties and Responsibilities: Provide a fast, friendly and efficient level of customer service.
Ensure the regular and systemic cleaning and maintenance of the equipment in the cafe, both front of house and back of house ensuring that the hygiene and food safety standards are adhered to.
Prepare and assist with food preparation and setting up of service.
To adhere to specifications, standards and procedures while in work.
Provides hospitality for the whole of Respond upon request.
support team to ensure practice incorporates trauma-informed approaches and responses with service users.
The list of duties is not exhaustive and duties may vary from time to time.
Essential Criteria/Education Qualification: Position requires 1 years' experience in the catering industry.
Personal Skills/Attributes: Knowledge and experience of hygiene and food safety control (HACCP Procedures).
Desired Skills/Attributes Previous experience in a similar environment, preferably in a food service / customer facing environment is essential.
Self-motivated and Enthusiastic and have the ability to provide an excellent of service with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong desire to work with food.
Flexible with the ability to work on own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
An Advanced level of English is required and a professional and polite manner is essential.
Garda Vetting will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
