The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the internal IT team supporting both operational and enterprise technology environments.
This is a hands‑on position offering exposure across cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking and business‑critical systems within a fast‑paced engineering environment. The role combines project work with day‑to‑day infrastructure support, contributing to system reliability, security and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain core IT infrastructure across servers, networks and cloud services
Install, configure and upgrade infrastructure systems and applications
Provide technical support aligned with structured service management processes
Assist with infrastructure security, monitoring and performance optimisation
Support hybrid cloud and on‑premise environments
Participate in infrastructure upgrades and technology improvement projects
Work with internal teams and external vendors on ongoing IT initiatives
About You
Degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science or related discipline
3+ years’ experience in infrastructure or systems support
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability
Comfortable working within a collaborative technical team
Interest in emerging technologies and continuous improvement
Technical Experience
Microsoft 365 and Azure administration
Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy
Virtualisation technologies (VMware or Hyper‑V)
LAN/WAN networking, Wi‑Fi and firewall technologies
Backup and disaster recovery solutions
Endpoint and hardware support
Basic scripting or automation exposure
Experience supporting ERP or enterprise systems beneficial
