On behalf of our client, we are seeking to hire a Downstream Sales Manager. The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and business development activities for downstream petroleum products such as petrol, diesel, lubricants, and other refined products. This role involves managing key customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring sales targets are met in line with the company’s commercial strategy.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement sales strategies for downstream petroleum products to achieve revenue targets.
* Identify new market opportunities and grow the customer base across retail, commercial, and industrial segments.
* Manage and nurture relationships with key accounts, including distributors, resellers, transporters, and institutional clients.
* Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform business decisions.
* Ensure timely delivery of products to customers in collaboration with logistics and operations teams.
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of sales in compliance with company policies.
* Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics to senior management.
* Coordinate with marketing and product teams to support promotional activities and brand positioning.
* Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve complaints or service issues promptly.
* Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and industry standards in all sales operations.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA is an advantage.
* Minimum of 8–12 years’ experience in sales within the downstream oil & gas sector.
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Strong understanding of downstream operations, pricing dynamics, and supply chain.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
* Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
* Ability to travel as needed for business engagements.
