Job Description
Our client, a market leader in specialist installation and engineering solutions, is seeking a highly capable IT Manager to oversee and evolve their technology function in line with the company's ambitious growth plans. This is a hands-on position, balancing day-to-day technical leadership with longer-term strategy to ensure that IT infrastructure, systems, and services are robust, secure, and scalable for the future.
The successful individual will manage a broad IT portfolio including infrastructure, telecoms, business-critical applications, and staff training, while also driving forward continuous improvement projects. Systems under their remit include enterprise tools such as ERP (SAP), Citrix environments, CRM platforms, and job management systems.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the company's IT operations, ensuring high availability across infrastructure, telecoms, and business applications.
2. Oversee system integrations and upgrades, driving continuous improvements and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
3. Maintain strong governance around cybersecurity and compliance, with particular focus on ISO 27001 standards.
4. Manage cloud services and on-premise solutions, ensuring secure, efficient, and cost-effective delivery.
5. Support and develop IT strategy around mobile device integration, VOIP/telecoms solutions, and collaboration platforms (M365).
6. Provide leadership and mentoring to IT staff, ensuring ongoing professional development and high service levels to end users.
7. Act as the key point of contact between IT and the wider business, ensuring technology solutions meet operational and commercial needs.
About You
8. Proven track record in a similar IT leadership role, ideally within a dynamic, multi-site business.
9. Degree-level education and relevant Microsoft certifications (Windows Server and/or M365).
10. 5+ years' experience managing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecoms, and business-critical systems.
11. Hands-on expertise in implementing and maintaining CRM and job management platforms.
12. Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and modern IT frameworks.
13. Experience with SAP integration highly desirable.
14. Telecoms/VOIP background, preferably within high-volume environments such as contact centres.
15. Demonstrated ability to manage ISO 27001 compliance and risk frameworks.
16. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally between sites.
