Kingsbridge Private Hospital, Sligo are currently looking to fill the role of Maintenance Officer with driving duties. The successful candidate will be based primarily at Kingsbridge Private Hospital on the Ray Macsharry Road in Sligo.

Job Title: Maintenance Officer with driving duties

Department: Estates/Facilities

Location: Kingsbridge Private Hospital, Sligo

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5hrs per week, Monday-Sunday

Responsible to: Estates and Facilities Manager

Salary: €26,888 per annum

Job Summary:

This successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the Hospital's building which will include: maintenance, painting, joinery, gas porter duties, fire safety, and alarm checks. The role will primarily be based at Kingsbridge Private Hospital; however, you may be required to travel across sites.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

· General maintenance and upkeep of buildings i.e. painting, joinery, handyman tasks etc.

· Responsible for carrying out and recording safety/fire alarm checks throughout the group.

· Medical Gas Porter Duties.

· General management of the Happy Fox work ticket system.

· Driving duties to include the multiple delivery and collections of pathology, pharmacy, medical records, surgical instruments, and replenishment of surgical items and or medical devices items across Sligo town and/or its outskirts. (A company vehicle will be provided)

Communication and Relationship Skills:

· Develop and maintain effective communication with external relevant service providers, contractors, staff, and management.

Responsibility for Information Resources:

· Responsible for recording and maintaining all data related to the post including: financial information, cleanliness statistics, audit information, and responsible for the production of scheduled and ad-hoc reports on performance data.

Ensure the efficient running of the business by undertaking any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.

The above list is not exhaustive and additional / alternative tasks may be required from time to time as directed.

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

* Junior Certificate - 5 grades A-C including Maths and English or equivalent
* Full, clean driver's license.
* A minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role.
* Proven experience of joinery, handyman, and painting skills.
* Motivated and enthusiastic approach to work.
* Commitment to ongoing development.
* Willingness to provide flexible cover as and when required.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Excellent communication both oral and written.

Desirable Criteria:

* Previous experience in private healthcare
* Working knowledge of Microsoft programs
