To guide, observe, stimulate and supervise children in a safe and caring environment as part of the childcare team.Responsibilities:Ensure full compliance with preschool regulations, Children First National Guidelines, and all relevant legislation.Act as Designated Liaison Person for child protection and safeguarding matters.Implement and monitor Siolta and Aistear frameworks to maintain quality standards.Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure health, safety, and welfare of children and staff.Maintain accurate records for inspections and regulatory reporting.Lead, motivate, and manage a team of early years educators to deliver high-quality care.Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate ratios are maintained.Facilitate regular team meetings and provide supervision and performance reviews.Promote continuous professional development and reflective practice among staff.Address HR issues promptly and in line with organizational policies and in conjunction with our people and culture leaders.Develop and implement strategies to ensure financial sustainability of the service.Prepare budgets, monitor expenditure, and report on financial performance.Identify opportunities for funding and community partnerships.Ensure resources are used efficiently and cost-effectively.Plan for long-term growth and service development aligned with community needs.Education:Requires undergraduate degree level in Early Child Care and Education. Minimum level 7 desirable.Skills & Experience:Position requires 1-3 years of experience post qualification in a management role.Experience in implementing the suite of Pobal funding programs.Strong understanding and experience in Early Childhood Education and working with parent/carers.Experience in monetary management and budgeting & possess good analytical skills.Proficient in Microsoft office packages & have strong computer skills.Demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic and a capacity to work on own initiative.Garda Vetting will be required as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis.Closing date for applications 3rd December 2025.
