This role ensures compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and all relevant regulatory standards.Key responsibilities include minimising risks, driving continuous quality improvements, and promoting cross-functional collaboration across the organisation. The role supports three branches in Ireland and requires strong leadership, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Generate and analyse reports to track EQHS KPIs.Manage and maintain safety management systems.Lead investigations into near misses and conduct GAP analyses.Oversee both internal and external audit processes.Ensure the completion of risk assessments and site inspections by the General Manager.Investigate accidents, near misses, and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions as required.Drive the EHS agenda, collaborating across teams to foster best practices and continuous improvement.Utilise company data to drive quality initiatives and engage management in quality improvement efforts.Develop and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.Work closely on freight risks and operational challenges.Support environmental initiatives, including the Dachser zero emissions project.Foster a near-zero error culture across all departments.Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including COMAH, ADR, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 9001.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.A minimum of 3 years' experience in team management.Proven ability to lead teams, work under pressure, and resolve problems effectively.A proactive, independent, and innovative approach to work.Strong influencing, negotiating, and customer service skills.The ability to tailor communication to suit different audiences.High IT literacy with a keen eye for detail.Experience in logistics or a similar industry.In-depth knowledge of EHS, Quality, and Environmental regulations.A degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related science field.Experience with improvement projects, change management, and COMAH sites.Lead auditor certification for ISO 14001, ISO 5001, and ISO 9001.The ability to develop an EHS culture and build strong internal and external relationships.
