Speech and Language Therapist Role Overview
This Senior Speech and Language Therapist position offers a dynamic and multidisciplinary work environment at a leading clinic. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive Autism assessments (including ADOS-2) in accordance with best practice guidelines.
* Participate actively in ADOS-2 assessments and collaborate closely with lead clinical psychologists.
* Prepare detailed reports and individualized recommendations following assessments.
* Establish effective communication with clients, families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative care approach.
* Refer clients onward to other MDT members where necessary.
* Deliver ongoing intervention and support for clients and their families.
* Maintain accurate clinical notes and draft progress reports.
* Collaborate with Assistant Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and other team members as part of the assessment and intervention process.
* Manage an independent caseload efficiently.
Requirements:
* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (CORU registered).
* Completion of formal ADOS-2 training.
* Post-qualification or undergraduate placement experience in a paediatric/disability setting.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
* Motivation, adaptability, creativity, and passion for working with clients across a mixed and varied caseload.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent time management and reflective practice skills.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
