Occupational Therapist Job
Established as a leading provider of mental health rehabilitation services, we have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our clinical team.
* Lead the assessment and treatment of individuals with complex mental health difficulties, developing tailored intervention plans that prioritize their occupational performance needs.
* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Consultant Psychiatrists, Behaviour Specialists, Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Care Workers, and Assistance Support Workers, to deliver comprehensive care.
* Design and implement individualized therapy programs, fostering a culture of recovery-oriented practice within the mental health unit.
This role involves working with adults in our well-established Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit located in North Cork. Key responsibilities include:
* Client management and therapeutic planning
* Occupational therapy assessments and interventions
* Interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork
* Therapy program development and facilitation
* Promoting recovery-focused occupational therapy practices
* Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
* Supervision of Occupational Therapy students and therapists, ensuring high-quality training and development opportunities
* Deputizing for the Occupational Therapy Manager as needed
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* A Degree or Master's in Occupational Therapy from a recognized 3rd-level institution accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists
* Registration with CORU or pending registration at the application stage
* Experience with individualized care planning and contributing to risk assessments
* Knowledge of sensory processing difficulties and experience supporting individuals with these challenges
* Implementation of sensory integration approaches to enhance client outcomes
