We are currently working with a leading renewable energy company that is rapidly expanding its operations across Ireland and internationally. They are now looking to hire a People & Payroll Specialist to join their team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation focused on delivering sustainable, utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
Responsibilities of this People & Payroll Specialist Job:
* Manage monthly payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Irish employment law and internal policies.
* Maintain employee records and payroll data, including changes to salary, benefits, and employment status.
* Administer pensions, bonuses, social welfare, and statutory payments such as maternity or sick pay.
* Act as the first point of contact for payroll and HR queries from team members.
* Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and contract changes.
* Coordinate recruitment activities such as scheduling interviews and drafting offers.
* Track and report on people metrics such as turnover, headcount, absence, and payroll costs.
* Assist in the continuous improvement of people systems, including integration with finance and payroll tech solutions.
* Ensure GDPR and employment equity compliance across all employee data and processes.
* Support the Head of People & Culture with broader HR strategy and team experience initiatives.
Requirements of this People & Payroll Specialist Job:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a payroll, HR operations, or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of Irish payroll processes, tax laws, and employment legislation.
* High level of proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
* Experience working in a fast-paced and growing organisation.
* Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a solution-focused approach.
* Degree in Accounting, Business, HR, or a related field is preferred.
* Experience in the renewable energy or construction sectors is an advantage.
