Job Description


We are seeking a full‑time, permanent Operations Manager to oversee day‑to‑day kitchen and catering operations, including funerals and other events. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating catering functions, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, managing stock and suppliers, and supporting the smooth running of kitchen and catering services.


Responsibilities

* Oversee daily kitchen and catering operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
* Supervise kitchen and support staff, including scheduling, rostering, and attendance management.
* Coordinate catering operations for functions, events, and funeral services, ensuring timely preparation.
* Liaise with front‑of‑house staff and management to ensure smooth coordination of kitchen services for scheduled functions.
* Work closely with the Chef to maintain food quality, portion control, and consistency.
* Monitor stock levels, manage food ordering, and liaise with suppliers.
* Implement and maintain operational procedures and controls.
* Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, health, and safety regulations.
* Monitor operational costs and assist with basic budgeting and cost control.
* Address operational issues promptly, particularly during busy service periods.
* Maintain operational records and prepare routine reports for management.


Qualifications

* Minimum 4 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role within hospitality, catering, or food service.
* Proven experience supervising staff and managing day‑to‑day operations.
* Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
* Strong organisational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.


Essential Requirements

* Minimum Experience: 4 years.
* Minimum Qualification: Level 7 (Diploma & Ordinary Bachelor Degree) in Hospitality, Finance, or Related field.
* Language: English C2‑Master (Fluent).


Desirable Requirements

* Computer literacy, financial knowledge, hospitality experience.
* Decision making, leadership, management, problem solving skills.
* Specialising in staff supervision, scheduling, operational coordination, food safety hygiene, inventory management, organisational skills, communication, team leadership, budgeting, cost control.
