About The Head Plan

Our retail stores are at the heart of our busiest season, and we are seeking confident, action-focused leaders to ensure our Q4 retail presence is executed to the highest standard.

The Role

This year, The Head Plan is returning to Dundrum Town Centre with our premium pop-up store for the busiest and most exciting season of the year. We are hiring a Store Manager on a fixed-term contract from mid-October 2025 to mid-January 2026 to lead the store through the peak trading period.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), and flexibility is essential - evenings, weekends, and bank holidays will be required during peak season.

As Store Manager, you will take full ownership of your store during our busiest trading months. This is not a "sit back and wait" role - you will be hands-on every day, managing your team, stock, and operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You are the first point of contact for your store and the link to HQ, which means handling rostering, training, merchandising, and problem-solving with confidence - without passing issues upwards unnecessarily.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Rostering

* Recruit, train, and motivate a seasonal team of 6-10 staff.
* Build efficient rosters that balance store needs and staff availability.
* Actively manage absences, lateness, and performance issues-keeping the store running without last-minute escalations.

Operations & Stock Management

* Plan and manage stock levels to ensure shelves are full and displays are flawless.
* Receive and process stock deliveries, checking for accuracy and managing discrepancies.
* Anticipate needs and flag stock requirements in advance-never waiting until the last minute.

Merchandising & Customer Experience

* Ensure the store is always merchandised to The Head Plan's premium brand standards.
* Deliver an exceptional customer experience, training staff to engage confidently and knowledgeably with shoppers.
* Support in-store activations and promotions, ensuring flawless execution.

Problem Solving & Accountability

* Handle day-to-day issues independently, from rota gaps to stock queries.
* Take ownership of outcomes in your store-only escalating issues to HQ where absolutely necessary.
* Provide regular updates on store performance, staff, and sales.

About You

* Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in retail, ideally within premium, lifestyle, or fast-paced environments.
* A solutions-focused leader-you don't just spot problems, you fix them.
* Confident managing rosters, stock, merchandising, and customer service at scale.
* A natural trainer and motivator, able to build strong seasonal teams quickly.
* Organised and proactive-you plan ahead and never leave things to the last minute.
* Excellent communicator and team player-you represent The Head Plan and act as the key link between your store and HQ.
* Flexible and resilient, comfortable with the demands of peak retail trading (evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required).
* Passionate about wellness, personal growth, and delivering an exceptional brand experience.
