Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician with hands-on experience in electrical and instrumentation systems, as well as a good understanding of water and wastewater networks and infrastructure.
The successful candidate will join our team on existing contracts across Limerick and Clare, Ireland, focusing on the maintenance of DBO and Framework sites to ensure we continue to deliver high-quality services to our clients.
This is a permanent position with opportunities for growth within our expanding work stream and established organisation.
Responsibilities
* Electrical Installation: Carry out electrical installations in accordance with I. wiring regulations and WIMES.
* Permitting and Risk Management: Manage all electrical permitting and participate in the production of Risk Assessment and Method Statements, and Process Impact Plans.
* Fault-Finding: Provide effective fault-finding support to commissioning engineers during the commissioning stage of a project.
* Electrical Schematics: Read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics and document all self-created changes.
* Safety and Environmental Compliance: Adhere to Safety Health & Environmental policies and procedures, and carry out all tasks in a safe and controlled manner.
* Installation Recommendations: Recommend electrical installation ideas and improvements.
* Site Supervision: Carry out and supervise site electrical installations where required.
* Inspection and Testing: Review sub-contractor electrical installations and prepare snag lists, Prepare and complete Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Test Records (ITRs) before and during installations.
* Electrical Testing: Carry out electrical testing and record results.
* Manual Works: Undertake manual works such as cable pulling and installation of cable containment.
* Instrumentation Knowledge: Working knowledge of instrumentation, such as flowmeter, ultrasonics, water quality measurement monitors, automatic sampling systems etc.
* Supervision: Ability to supervise the work of electrical apprentices.
* Thermal Imaging: Undertake Thermal Imaging tests and report findings with recommendations.
Requirements
* Certifications: FETAC Level 6 Electrical Craft City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Inspection and Testing / Installation.
* Experience: 3+ years industry experience (Water/Wastewater Industry preferred).
* Skills: Well organised, have attention to detail, work on their own initiative, and be proactive QC Registered would be a big advantage. CompeEX trained beneficial Confined space trained beneficial.
