Financial Accountant Role
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial services to key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance & Operations, this role is crucial for financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for group submissions.
* Liaison with Group Finance Teams: Liaise with group finance teams to ensure alignment with reporting requirements.
* Annual Financial Accounts: Prepare annual financial accounts, maintain detailed audit files, and manage the year-end audit process.
* Statutory Returns: Ensure accuracy of all statutory returns, including bi-monthly VAT returns.
* Budgeting: Develop and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with management, tracking performance against targets.
* Policies and Procedures: Update and implement business policies and accounting practices, enhancing the finance department's overall policies and procedures.
* Internal Controls: Monitor internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
* Cover for Finance Team Members: Assist in providing cover for finance team members as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Recognised Accountancy Qualification: Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
* Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the Financial Services industry is advantageous.
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with sound decision-making abilities.
* Financial Reporting: Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance.
