38424 – Hourly Paid Assistant Lecturer (HPAL) – Fixed Term Part‑Time, 2 Years
The Faculty of Education and Lifelong Learning seeks to establish a panel of part‑time assistant lecturers in the following discipline areas:
* Business
* Humanities
* Engineering
* Built Environment
* Science and Computing
* Education and Lifelong Learning
* Health Sciences
Applicants are required to specify discipline areas they are interested in.
SETU seeks to create a panel of assistant lecturers (part‑time) to draw from as vacancies arise in the faculty for evening delivery across the faculty. Delivery will be 1.5 hours or 3 hours in a given evening and may involve occasional Saturday delivery. Applications are sought from suitably qualified candidates who can be available throughout the academic year. The panel will be effective for two years from Semester 1 2025/26.
Duties
* Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
* Prepare teaching materials and assessments.
* Mark and grade student work.
* Provide academic support to students.
* Participate in programme board and exam board meetings.
* Engage in CPD for flexible learning, teaching, and assessment.
Hourly Paid Assistant Lecturer Rate: €73.97 per hour (New Entrants)
