Site Engineer Residential Development (Tallaght, South Dublin) Salary: €65,000€75,000+ DOE Type: Permanent A respected residential contractor delivering a large-scale housing development in Tallaght is seeking a Site Engineer with strong technical ability and proven setting-out experience.
This role is central to the smooth delivery of a busy Dublin project and suits an engineer who enjoys accuracy, coordination, and being hands-on with site operations.
Role Overview You will support the Project Manager in driving programme, quality, and compliance across all phases of the build.
The position involves extensive setting out, technical coordination, and ensuring works are delivered to specification and Irish building standards.
Key Duties Complete all setting out for groundworks, RC frame, drainage, services, and structural elements using GPS, robotic total station, and levelling equipment.
Maintain accurate records including as-built drawings, surveys, QA checks, and daily documentation.
Issue setting-out information in line with programme requirements and upcoming sequencing.
Coordinate with the Project Manager, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure works meet design intent and tolerances.
Review drawings and technical information, flagging discrepancies and assisting with design queries.
Monitor quality and compliance with Irish building regulations and project specifications.
Support site safety by ensuring appropriate controls around excavation, temporary works, and structural activities.
Liaise with suppliers, consultants, and design teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and information.
Candidate Profile 25+ years experience as a Site Engineer on residential or commercial projects.
Strong setting-out capability with hands-on experience in RC frame and structural works.
Proficient with GPS, robotic total station, and surveying software.
Confident interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive approach to supporting programme and site progress.
Full legal right to work in Ireland.
Based in, or able to commute to, South County Dublin.
