Senior Cardiac Physiologist Part time - UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic

Hours: 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible to cover Saturday if required).
Overview
We are hiring a Senior/Cardiac Physiologist on a part time basis to fulfill a key position in our Pre Assessment of work.
Responsibilities
* Participate in setting standards and ensuring quality of care.
* Maintain professional practice within relevant framework.
* Ensure strict confidentiality of patient records and adhere to data protection legislation.
* Participate in established work practices within the Department.
* Stay knowledgeable of legislation and amendments affecting Cardiac Physiologists and allied health professionals.
* Ensure quality documentation of reports in line with local service and professional standards.
* Communicate results, data interpretation and reports verbally and/or in writing to the team and consultants.
* Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Implement precautions and safeguards to provide a safe work environment.
* Take responsibility for own learning and development with evidence of continued professional development.
* Exercise initiative and diplomacy in patient care issues.
* Keep accurate and complete client records per documentation policy.
* Attend mandatory training and comply with hospital policy.
* Use hospital equipment safely, economically and correctly; report faulty equipment.
* Maintain appropriate consumable stock levels and restock as needed.
* Complete accurate reports of any accidents/incidents.
* Safeguard patient belongings and valuables per hospital policy.
* Willing to be deployed to other suitable areas if required.
Qualifications & Experience
* BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology or Technological University Dublin; or equivalent Level 8 qualification confirmed by IICMS or awarded on or before 2005.
* Minimum of 3 years full‑time (or aggregate of 3 years) relevant post‑qualification experience as a Cardiac Physiologist.
* Required knowledge and ability for proper discharge of duties.
* Technical competence in all aspects of Cardiac Physiology testing.
Post Specific Requirements
* Competent in performing and reporting transthoracic echocardiography.
* Perform resting ECGs.
* Pacemaker and ICD/CRT programming for theatre.
* Report procedure findings and highlight abnormalities.
Desired
* BSE in Echocardiography or EACVI Adult transthoracic Echocardiography accreditation.
* IT skills.
