**Head of People & Engagement Role Overview**

The Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA) is a statutory agency established in 2006 by the Irish Government under the Grangegorman Development Agency Act 2005. Our mission is to transform Grangegorman into a vibrant community with a world-class, integrated and inclusive education, health, and community campus.

We are seeking a Head of People & Engagement to lead the development and implementation of human resources strategies and employee engagement initiatives, fostering a positive workplace culture. This role will manage and lead the communications function and deliver societal engagement and cultural projects such as public art and histories.

This position is critical in ensuring that the GDA remains an inclusive, high-performing organisation while delivering on its mission to create a vibrant urban quarter. The successful candidate will report to the CEO/CFO and be a key member of the senior staff.

### Key Responsibilities:

* Leverage your expertise in human resources management to design and implement effective HR strategies and policies.
* Develop and maintain a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
* Lead the communications function, driving clear and consistent messaging across the organisation.
* Oversee the delivery of societal engagement and cultural projects, promoting community involvement and enriching the urban quarter.

### Qualifications and Experience:

To be considered for this role, you should possess a third-level qualification (Level 8 / equivalent or higher) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organisational Development, Communications or a related field. You must also have at least 5-7 years of experience in Senior HR / Organisational Leadership or a related role, with a strong understanding of Irish employment law, public sector HR, and governance frameworks.

A professional membership in a relevant HR or other body (e.g. CIPD) is advantageous. Experience in community engagement or stakeholder management in an urban regeneration context is also desirable. Familiarity with public sector governance frameworks or sustainability strategies is highly valued.
