Safety Manager Preconstruction (Data Centres & Logistics) Location: Kildare (Office-based, limited travel) Salary: €80,000 €110,000 + car allowance, health insurance & benefits Sector: Data Centres & Logistics (Main Contractor) The Company A leading international main contractor delivering large-scale data centre and logistics projects across Europe and the USA. As part of a strategic move, the company is centralising its global preconstruction function in Ireland, becoming the hub for tender-stage and pre-start project planning. The Role The Safety Manager will play a key role in the preconstruction phase, supporting projects from tender receipt through to site mobilisation. This is a front-end, office-based role, focused on embedding best-in-class safety strategies before work begins on site. You will work closely with mechanical and electrical preconstruction teams, CSA precon, designers, bid coordinators, and engineers, ensuring safety is fully integrated into bid submissions, methodologies, and construction planning. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of preconstruction safety strategies for data centre and logistics bids Prepare and review tender-stage safety documentation, including preliminary PSCS plans, risk registers, and construction methodologies Input into programme, logistics, and sequencing reviews from a safety perspective Engage with designers and engineers to influence safe-by-design solutions Support bid teams during client interviews and presentations Develop standardised safety templates and procedures for global preconstruction use Provide safety input through to pre-start and mobilisation, handing over to site teams Requirements Strong background in construction safety management, ideally with a main contractor Experience working on data centre, logistics, or large-scale commercial projects Proven exposure to tender-stage / preconstruction safety planning Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Degree or diploma in Health & Safety or related discipline If interested please forward your CV to Kevin Clair through this jobs board or contact Kevin Clair from KCM Recruitment on Linkedin - your recruiter has 25 years construction recruitment experience.
