Job Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Operative to fill a key role within our workshop team.
This position involves working closely with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our machinery and the production of high-quality components.
* Key Responsibilities:
1. Assembling and fabricating mechanical components and machinery
2. Operating workshop tools and machines to produce accurate, high-quality parts
3. Inspecting and measuring components to ensure they meet specifications
4. Maintaining machinery and performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
5. Conducting quality checks to ensure completed work meets industry standards
6. Managing inventory and maintaining accurate records of parts, repairs, and maintenance
Skill Requirements:
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles
* Experience with hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery (lathes, mills, CNC)
* CAD/CAM knowledge an advantage
* Relevant apprenticeship, qualification, or mechanical engineering experience desirable
