Learning and Development Manager
This is a fixed-term position for a duration of two months. As a Learning and Development Manager, you will oversee the transactional aspects of our L&D programmes and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with divisional directors to ensure L&D programmes meet business needs, advising on role-specific training requirements and supporting workforce planning.
* Manage two members of the L&D team, providing guidance and direction to achieve corporate goals.
* Track and report on L&D Key Performance Indicators and metrics, ensuring accurate data-driven insights.
* Oversee all L&D administration, including accurate training records, financial reporting, raising purchase orders, and report preparation, maintaining organisational compliance.
* Analyse L&D records to identify training needs and develop appropriate solutions, driving continuous improvement.
* Work with external partners and suppliers to deliver training solutions, evaluating their effectiveness and making recommendations for future improvements.
* Manage the request for tender process for an identified organisational training requirement, ensuring transparency and fairness throughout.
* Oversee the L&D budget and contracts, optimising resource allocation and expenditure.
* Assist with the transition to a learning management system (LMS), ensuring seamless adoption and minimal disruption.
Essential Requirements:
* A minimum of a level 7 qualification in Human Resources, Learning & Development, or a related discipline (e.g., Training, Education).
* At least 2 years of management experience in L&D, with a focus on high-quality coordination and administration.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
* Proven experience in carrying out public sector procurement, particularly for L&D services, adhering to regulatory requirements.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with IT solutions related to L&D and learning management, leveraging technology to enhance programme delivery.
* Proven experience in delivering and facilitating training, with a focus on adult learning principles and methodologies.
* Proven experience in implementing large-scale training programmes within an organisation, driving cultural change and behaviour shift.
* Experience working with state or national organisations in the L&D field (e.g., QQI), understanding the complexities of public sector training.
* Experience building and maintaining networks of L&D stakeholders, providing advice on training requirements and promoting collaboration.
