Overview
Join to apply for the Senior Electrical/Electronic Engineer role at Siemens Healthineers. This role supports manufacturing of complex, high-reliability medical devices, providing technical support to Manufacturing Operations for electrical/electronic assemblies, PCBs and subsystems, and leading root cause analysis for production issues.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to manufacturing operations for electrical/electronic assemblies, PCBs, and embedded systems.
* Deliver technical solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability.
* Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for production issues.
* Perform component-level failure analysis of PCBAs to support production and field returns.
* Participate in process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) for electrical manufacturing processes.
* Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot test equipment, fixtures, and automated test systems used in production.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering group to solve complex problems for laboratories of any size.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with minimum 8 years relevant experience (alternative degrees considered with relevant technical experience).
* Experience in electrical/electronic engineering, preferably in the medical device industry or other regulated manufacturing environments.
* Hands-on experience with component-level diagnostics tools (oscilloscopes, curve tracers, X-ray/CT for PCBA analysis).
* Proven track record in problem-solving and root cause analysis in production settings.
* Experience with supplier collaboration and component lifecycle management.
* Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
* Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills; strong team player; experience in coaching and mentoring.
* Desirable: Design for manufacturability (DFM); PCB design with component selection; knowledge of power electronics, cabling routing; control systems engineering (PID tuning); EMC knowledge; experience with design tools (Mentor Graphics, Eagle, Altium, Proteus, OrCAD); Verification and Validation experience.
