It is also celebrated as a destination for special occasions, including weddings and spa retreats.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Sales Manager, located in Donegal. The Sales Manager is responsible for managing corporate, social and luxury leisure sales markets at Lough Eske Castle, inclusive of assisting the DOSM and working with the Sales & Events Manager in the day-to-day running of the sales department. Driving the transient corporate, and groups business. This includes proactive sales, planning, converting, and being an ambassador at trade events, sales appointments and any other industry events.Key ResponsibilitiesOverseeing and developing the relationship with corporate clients and luxury travel advisors, working towards securing transient and group business at Lough Eske Castle.Owning all corporate & social group enquiries at the hotel with the assistance of the Sales Coordinator, from converting enquiries, managing group bookings from start to finish i.e. enquiry, conversion, contracting, rooming lists, communicating to operational team and assisting the operations team when groups on site, providing the best guest experience.Responsible for account management across the afore-mentioned B2B clients, this includes contracting year on year, responding to RFPs with the support of DOSM, GDOSM and Cluster Revenue Manager.Driving the potential consortia market at Lough Eske Castle with luxury travel advisors mainly from the US and Canadian markets.Consistently reviewing competitors set pricing and offerings for corporate, social and luxury markets.Proactively targeting new business for hotel.Promoting and representing Lough Eske Castle at domestic and international trade shows and sales trips as and when required.Maximising all revenue opportunities and achieving KPI's outlined on an annual basis. From existing & new accounts through strategic planning and effective account management, including upselling ancillary spend across the hotel.Participating in and supporting hotel Sales teams on property with customer visits, site inspections and familiarization trips including communication thereof.Managing sales and marketing projects as per business requirements and when required.Agreeing, implementing and monitoring departmental sales action plans.Understanding and implementing the hotel's yield management strategies.Attending departmental and hotel meetings as required.Completing all required sales reports & annual plans in a timely fashion, inclusive of updating Salesforce and the hotel property management system in a timely manner.Maintaining all hotel standards, complying with employee handbook guidelines, also protecting and enhancing the assets of the hotel.Assisting the DOSM with administrative tasks as and when required.Any other duties may be requested by Management.RequirementsPeople management skills and experienceStrong business acumen and commercial awareness to qualify potential opportunities and increase profitability of the hotelSelf-motivated, hardworking, customer focused and assist in developing a positive work cultureMust be able to multitask, great attention to detail and excellent communicatorExcellent grooming and presentationCompetent use of computer systems such as Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, experience in using Adobe Packages and hotel property management systems i.e. HotSoft/Opera.Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekend work as and when requiredEligible to work in the Republic of IrelandPosition requires 1-3 years of previous sales or events operational experience in the hospitality industryExperience in events management or proactive sales with a minimum of two years
