Job Title: Process Development Engineer
This role is centered around the development of processes essential for manufacturing medical device designs created by our Research and Development team.
We are seeking a skilled Process Development Engineer to join our team in Limerick, Ireland. As a key member of our MedSurg R&D team, you will play a crucial part in bringing new products from concept to market launch.
Your primary responsibilities will include identifying, developing, and implementing new processes required for the manufacture of device designs developed by our Research and Development team. This will involve process validation, ensuring a risk-based approach is applied during development, implementation, and validation, as well as collaborating with other teams to ensure the effective completion of all activities associated with a Research and Development Engineering project.
You will be responsible for process engineering layout plans and implementation in relation to new processes and production lines. Ensuring that our Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on our behalf is also a critical aspect of this role.
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
* Minimum 3 years' relevant experience
* Project planning/execution skills
* Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
* Good mechanical design and understanding of engineering fundamentals with medical device materials knowledge
* Statistical understanding and experience
* Manufacturing design and process understanding
* Good working knowledge of Solidworks and/or Pro Engineer CAD
* Strong technical writing skills
* Knowledge of relevant ISO, EU, FDA medical device standards regulations
