Company BackgroundCafferkey Civils Limited is a progressive and innovative civil engineering contractor specialising in ground works on medium to large scale commercial projects in the Leinster area.With over 50 years of experience, we have delivered prestigious projects and are renowned for quality and team ethos.PositionQuantity Surveyor (Civils)Duties and ResponsibilitiesQuantity Surveying role on civil engineering and ground works projects from commencement on site to final account stage on multi‑million Euro subcontracts, including contract administration, re‑measures, managing variations, and submitting valuations.Agreement of interim payments for valuations with clients and subcontractors.Preparation of monthly contract review reports.Tendering for civil engineering and ground works contracts using the company’s in‑house tendering system and rates.Managing supply chain for tendering and procurement purposes to ensure competitive and competent supply chain is maintained.Role RequirementsDegree qualified in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience in civil engineering and ground works.Proven track record of successfully carrying out and managing similar duties and responsibilities on previous projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and other construction software.Flexible, highly motivated and able to work independently to tight deadlines.Excellent written and spoken English.European citizen eligible to work without a permit.SkillsQuantity SurveyingValuationsContract AdministrationRIAI Form of ContractsRemuneration Package€55,000 – €70,000 DOE inclusive of performance related bonus plus a fully expensed company van.BenefitsCompany vehicle.
