Area Sales Manager | Permanent | €50-60k base (€80k+ OTE) | Cork | Field based + hybrid Your new company Our client is a leading provider of specialist equipment and plant hire solutions across Ireland, operating within construction, engineering, and industrial sectors. With a strong and growing presence in the Munster region, they are now seeking an Area Sales Manager to join their expanding team on a permanent basis. Your new role In this field-based sales role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across Cork, Limerick, Shannon, and surrounding counties. You will identify and secure new business opportunities, develop relationships with engineering and construction contractors, and manage a portfolio of regional accounts. Working closely with operational teams, you will ensure excellent service delivery while promoting a broad range of plant hire and specialist equipment solutions. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position with strong autonomy, commercial responsibility, and significant scope for growth. Typically 3-4 days per week on the road, meeting clients, reviewing sites, and maintaining visibility. One hybrid/planning day for scheduling meetings, call plans, and CRM updates. Occasional overnight stays as required. What you'll need to succeed You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. You will be highly organised, commercially focused, and capable of managing your own territory and pipeline independently. A successful track record in field sales (particularly within construction, engineering, or plant hire) is highly desirable. A full driving licence is essential.
