About the Role
This Clinical Nurse Specialist (Intellectual Disability) position is part of the HSE Dublin and South East. The role focuses on providing clinical leadership, support and service development for individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex health needs.
Location
Primary location: Hawthorns; Secondary location: Bray Civic Centre (HSE Dublin South & Wicklow).
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, including complex health needs, dual diagnoses, and behavioural challenges.
Apply evidence‑based interventions, promote health, and advocate for individuals within intellectual disability services.
Lead, mentor, supervise, and support the clinical team.
Develop, improve, and implement quality and best practice guidelines.
Contribute to the strategic growth of community‑based services for people with intellectual disabilities and co‑existing conditions.
Qualifications & Experience
Clinical experience and knowledge in intellectual disability services, evidence‑based practice, and leadership are required.
