Stats Perform is seeking a Data Analyst for a full-time position, based in one of our hybrid office locations.
In this role, you will be part of our multidisciplinary team, helping to develop and adopt advanced sport metrics, primarily in football. The Data Analyst team plays a key role in making new insights accessible to fans and clients through applications, data reports, visualizations, and content across multiple sports.
These metrics are integrated into Opta’s feeds and products, serving clients across media and professional sports industries.
This role offers the opportunity to directly influence how sports data is used by major broadcasters, media outlets, and professional clubs worldwide. If you’re passionate about sports analytics, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
* Respond to daily ad-hoc data requests from internal teams and clients.
* Design compelling data visualizations for media use.
* Educate teams on new Stats Perform outputs.
* Provide feedback to the AI team as a first user of their models.
* Create and support content for various platforms.
* Develop tools (e.g., Shiny, Flask) to enhance access to AI models.
* Conduct ad-hoc analysis projects for media and sports clients.
Required Qualifications:
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Experience in data analysis and visualization.
* Proficiency in a coding language (preferably Python and/or R).
* Experience with football data, professionally or as a hobby.
* Showcase of existing work with sports data (e.g., code repositories or social media).
* Deep understanding of football and its applications in data analysis.
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience working at a professional sports club or in the sports data industry.
* Experience with AWS technologies (e.g., S3, Redshift).
* Multilingual abilities.
* Knowledge of other sports beyond football.
