FENIX is experiencing significant growth and seeks a Life Sciences PhD Associate Consultant to support global consulting engagements. The role involves leveraging analytic, interpretive, scientific, and communication skills to generate insights that aid decision-making and project execution. Responsibilities include conducting primary and secondary research, analyzing clinical trials, developing industry insights, and supporting client deliverables. Qualifications include a PhD in life sciences, research experience in breast cancer, and strong communication skills. The role offers opportunities to gain consulting experience, influence decision-making in the pharmaceutical industry, and develop thought leadership in therapy areas.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive secondary market research (monitoring websites, earnings calls, clinical trials, patient/HCP websites)
2. Identify and conduct primary market research (interviews with HCPs/KOLs, industry sources) and document findings
3. Assist junior team members with market-related tasks
4. Develop impactful primary competitive intelligence
5. Cover international conferences (virtually or in-person), including clinical sessions and industry booths
6. Create a congress planner
7. Interpret key clinical trials
8. Use problem-solving skills and research methodologies to derive insights for decision-making
9. Conduct quantitative data analyses
10. Manage projects to ensure timely delivery of client work
11. Synthesize and communicate results effectively to teams and clients
12. Assist in preparing client reports, summaries, and pitches
13. Contribute to client presentations and reports, strengthening client relations
Qualifications:
1. Fluent or Level C2 English communication skills (oral and written) REQUIRED
2. EU citizenship or legal ability to work in the EU without sponsorship REQUIRED
3. PhD in life sciences or related field REQUIRED
4. Research experience in breast cancer REQUIRED
5. Understanding of pharmacology (pharmacodynamics, administration routes, receptor biology, signaling pathways) REQUIRED
6. 1-2 years experience in pharma, research, or consulting (preferred)
7. Attention to detail and ability to review work meticulously
8. Proactivity and critical evaluation of instructions
9. Resourcefulness in searching for answers and asking for help
10. Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint
11. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
12. Strong organizational skills and self-discipline
13. Ability to analyze information and derive implications
14. Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and travel willingness
