We are recruiting for an experienced hospital Catering supervisor for a hospital in the Midlands.
Requirements: Supervising the work of catering staff in the kitchen, dining areas, and potentially other service points.
Managing staff schedules, attendance, and performance, including training and development.
Fostering a positive work environment and maintaining good working relationships with all staff.
Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all catering services, including meal preparation and service for patients and staff.
Managing the day-to-day operations of the staff restaurant and maintaining high service standards.
Monitoring and controlling costs related to food, equipment, and resources.
Ensuring food is prepared and served to meet nutritional guidelines and patient dietary needs.
Monitoring and maintaining hygiene standards, includingHACCP(Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and infection control policies.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, hospital policies, and procedures.
Participating in quality assurance programs and audits.
Communicating effectively with nursing staff to ensure patients receive the correct meals.
Responding to patient and customer feedback and complaints.
Liaising with other departments, such as finance, supplies, and dietetics, to ensure smooth service delivery.
Managing purchasing documentation and ensuring accurate invoicing and credit notes for deliveries.
Monitoring food safety management systems and maintaining relevant records.
Participating in the development and implementation of computer information systems.
Ensuring health and safety is given high priority in all catering operations.
Ensuring staff are trained in health and safety procedures, including fire safety, and are provided with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Investigating accidents and incidents, and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
Required: Previous experience in Healthcare, Hospitality or Contract catering in a supervisory role A passion for Food and Patent care Hold the Bachelors of Arts.
