OverviewThis is a trading role in which you will be making quick decisions to trade a wide swath of sports and political products using in house models and technology.In this role you will:Trading mainly American sports – NFL, NBA, MLB, Tennis, NCAAF, NCAAB, Football (Soccer)Running and maintaining strategies to trade pregame and in-game to maximize expectancy (and other business objectives)Analyzing and recapping past decision making to improve future trading decisionsNoting interesting trading and market dynamics to suggest areas of research for the quant teamBrainstorming useful strategies and features to improve future tradingWhat we're looking forMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline such as Math, Stats, Computer Science, Physics, Economics etc.Interest in some subset of -- NFL, NBA, NCAAF, NCAAM, Soccer, Tennis, or BaseballExceptional quantitative, logical reasoning, and analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to be flexible with hours and scheduleKnowledge of data manipulation libraries such as Pandas/NumPy is a plusAbility to recap and analyze thought processes, trading situations, and market dynamics for future analysisStrong interpersonal and communication skillsVisa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future.If you're a recruiting agency and want to partner with us, please reach out to recruiting@sig.com.
