This is a full-time permanent position offering a competitive salary and an excellent package for the successful candidate.Key DutiesCarry out routine inspections, servicing, and scheduled maintenanceDiagnose faults and complete mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairsService and repair a varied fleet of HGVs and tipper trailersEnsure all work meets required quality, safety, and compliance standardsComplete documentation and job cards accurately and on timeProvide daily updates to management on progress and vehicle statusMaintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environmentWork across multiple truck models and tipping trailer typesPerform additional duties as required by managementRequired Skills & ExperienceRelevant mechanical qualification (e.g., National Craft Certificate, Level 6, or equivalent)Minimum 3 years' experience as an HGV or heavy vehicle mechanicStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication skills and attention to detailStrong understanding of safety standards and maintenance proceduresProficiency in EnglishPhysically fit for the demands of the roleDesirableExperience with hydraulics, electrics, and trailer maintenanceKnowledge of CVRT preparation and compliance requirementsFrank Pratt & Sons offer an excellent long-term opportunity within a respected transport business.
