OverviewA global leader in high-tech facility design and construction is seeking an experienced Mechanical Plant Engineer to support utility system design and implementation within its Data Center business unit. The role involves end-to-end engineering responsibility, from early-stage design through construction supervision, with a focus on HVAC.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical utility systems including HVAC (ventilation/air conditioning), heating, cooling, steam, sanitary, and fire protectionEnsure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirementsCreate technical documentation across all project phases: feasibility, concept, basic, and detailed designGenerate material take-offs (MTOs) and technical specificationsParticipate in interdisciplinary design reviews and coordination meetingsLiaise with clients and internal stakeholders to align engineering output with project objectivesManage and oversee third-party design and planning partnersContribute to scheduling, budgeting, and supplier negotiationsSupport implementation and supervision during the construction phase to ensure technical fidelityStrong foundation: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldSeveral years of relevant experience, particularly with technical building equipment (TGA) and cleanroom environmentsIn-depth knowledge of HVAC system design (ventilation, air conditioning)Strong command of EnglishHigh level of responsibility, initiative, and team collaborationFlexibility for domestic and international travel as required by project scopeQualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldSeveral years of relevant experience, particularly with technical building equipment (TGA) and cleanroom environmentsIn-depth knowledge of HVAC system design (ventilation, air conditioning)Strong command of EnglishHigh level of responsibility, initiative, and team collaborationFlexibility for domestic and international travel as required by project scopeAdditional InformationThis position involves working on critical infrastructure for high-tech facilitiesTravel flexibility and client-facing professionalism are essentialRole is based in Germany with potential for regional or international project assignments
